Here is this week's doodle. Most of the interesting stuff here is in the borders. I like the half circles in the borders, I think it adds an art deco feel to the whole thing. The best part is what looks like a couple of white rectangles, but which are actually notes to myself about a book to read and an exhibit to go see.
I keep most of these kind of notes on my phone these days and on post-it notes stuck to the counter before I put it in my phone. If you look at the calendar on the wall, it's mostly blank. I don't have doodled on grocery lists anymore, I make them in my grocery app on the phone.
My counter looks neater. I don't forget and leave my grocery list at home anymore. I don't space out and forget dates as often, because I get notifications on my phone. I make to-do lists on my phone, and I set reminders to do important tasks. I set alarms so that I get out the door. I actually use the stupid thing!
Do I think I am actually any more organized and productive? Do I really arrive everywhere on time now? No, of course not! I am pretty sure I am the same as ever. I don't think there is a system that I can't subvert or screw up.
So, do you think that is comforting, or depressing?
What book?
