Disappearing circles! Everything squeezing in towards the midline in this doodle, interlocking and compressing. I think the composition is slightly off, but I do not sketch these things out in advance, so its to be expected. I like the medallions and its been quite awhile since I have made any half circles.
Its freezing here, I had a slippery run this morning. Half circles on a weather map mean warm fronts. Maybe I am dreaming...
This doodle is interesting because of the interlocking elements in the pattern. I like the strong diagonal movement towards the upper right, but there is something a bit awkward about the placement of the medallions in this doodle. I am not sure what it is, or what I would move, I have stared at it awhile, but I can't figure it out.
Here we have an odd combo of carpet and imaginary alphabet. I am not sure if they are separate doodles that happen to be on the same sheet of paper or if they really are all of one piece.
This carpet starts out with a really large medallion. I haven't made a big one in awhile and I am happy to see this one.
So everything is screwed up, except this doodle, which is quite nice. I haven't been posting because my tolerance for crashing computers is really low. Liked this doodle enough to carry on and bring it to you despite the cursing and stomping required to make it happen. I hope you like it too.
I have been gone a lot this summer, and little doodling has been done. I have had the best time and don't feel one bit guilty about neglecting this blog. Everyone deserves a wonderful summer.

This is doodle #249 which makes the next doodle #250. When I started this sort of random project, I was not sure if I was going to follow through with it. But here we are close to 5 years later and I am still at it. Go figure.
I want to paper an entire room, floor to ceiling with them, but so far no takers. There are some other irons in the fire, which I will throw out as a teaser, because I am not ready to talk about them yet. Plus, I do not want to jinx them.
Without much ado, I give you doodle #250, a group of what I think are a particularly nice medallions.
