The Oregon Potter's Association show & sale in April is such a big show that I was glad I went with friends who were teachers. We went systematically down every row and looked at every booth. Much better than my version of going where things catch my eye.
Either way, I end up completely visually exhausted when I am done.
Here are my favorites from the show in no particular order.
(Loose Weave series, Our Town Potters)
Our Town Pottery. Love the dots. Love that they are dimensional. Love the colors.
Heads + heads + heads, Kim Murton)
Kim Murton had a wall of heads like this at the show. How can you help but smile? Her sculptures are fun too.
Barbara Hertel. Rattles for grown ups! Fun! She explains the symbolism of each rattle.
Michele Ann Rigert. I really want to own something of hers. Unfortunately, she doesn’t appear to have a web presence, but I wanted to mention her anyway. Beautiful colors, sensuous shapes.
Faith Rahill. Beautiful. Grids, black & white patterns… She’s my gal.
Barb Campbell. I just like these. More here.
Patrick Horsely. Lovely things.
Scott Cameron Bell. Birds, with a wink and a smile.
Cute ceramic trailers from Corrine Vegter.
Liz. She is my pal, she’s great. Animals and more. This weekend is another at Art Over McCleay Park sale. Go buy all her stuff!
For me, no ceramics post is complete without the wonderful Sara Swink. Love love love her! I especially like her strange sculptures, they tell me stories.
(Lola, Crowned Goddess of the Lake (with Klimt Birds), Sara Swink)
What a great show. Love all the links to some wonderful artists!
