Another carpet doodle, I seem to be on a roll with these. Who cares? I like them.
This one is very busy with all the medallions, half circles and pod/leaf shapes. I think the bottom right quadrant is particularly floral looking. I also like how the heavily black medallion is balanced by the smaller, more numerous primarily white shapes.
It is the first of the really hot days today. Z and I went for a run up in Forest Park this morning, but we didn't really make it. I tried to turn it into a sprint workout, but we both gave up and walked. Too darn hot for us.
On Sunday, we went to hike at the Lewis River up in the Coast Range. It was too close to the highway, and there was constant road noise. A lovely river, and tons of wildflowers: foxgloves, Nootka roses, lupine, columbine everywhere.
Unfortunately, beauty got trumped by road noise.
We hiked on the Wilson River. Should have gone to the Lewis River though.
