Well, it is not hot anymore. Can you join me in a Hallelujah! Louder! I can't hear you. HALLELUJAH! Yeah, that is more like it.
This should have been your doodle for July 27. It is a just a group of medallions and leaf shapes, what strikes me about is the line work between them. Reminds me of a block print.
I used to do quite a bit of block printing.I have been thinking seriously of doing some again. Mistakes and wiggles are an integral part of the carving and add to the finished piece.
I like how human the process is.
This is the doodle from July 31 or August 3rd, depending if it is a Friday or Monday posting. I am not sure that I have ever successfully gotten into my summer schedule of Monday postings.
I have been on an absolute binge of fan shapes. They have usurped the medallions. Makes me wonder: Am I too lazy to draw an entire circle? I seem to be too lazy to do much of anything else this summer, so it is a distinct possibility.
But look at these doodles! This is a pretty ornate group of full page (8.5 x 11 inches) carpet doodles.
Freakin' Firefox keeps crashing on me. I have lost this post twice. You think i'd learn to hit the save button by now.
